I would like to ask for your help. I want to make sure my display &
business are all they can be this year. I'd like to ask a few questions
about what matters to you all as shoppers. I am hoping to get many
different views as we are all different people.
When you are
at a craft show or anything similar... what draws you to a particular
booth? What is it that makes you walk into a space? What causes you to
just go on by?
Now I realize that we are all attracted to different things so that is a big part of it. So lets answer those questions as if there were a row of spaces/booths that all offered generally the same thing.
Does how the items are displayed matter to you? Like items displayed together, bins for browsing thru...etc.
What, about the total experience, will make you look for that same vendor next time you attend the same show?
Are you more likely to go into a booth/space if it looks more professional vs one that looks thrown together, or one that has taken the extra time to decorate vs ones that dont?
What about a banner? Does it matter to you as a buyer/shopper? Would a more professional, more colorful banner make you take a second look?
What about pricing? Do
you prefer to see each item priced? Would you like seeing a well put
together price list displayed? Do you mind asking how much something
is? does what the price tag looks like matter? (yard sale hand printed
type to pro looking computer printed or even fancy pro printed ones) Does the vendor taking extra time to package your purchase make a difference? Or how about the little extras like an envelope to hold your receipt, a nice bag for your purchase... things like that.
Your
thoughtful answers would be greatly appreciated by me. If you have any
other comments on what totally turns you off from a space, or something
else that makes you stay, I'd love to hear it. I'm leaving this post
public so if you know anyone else who would be willing to offer input,
please share!
EDIT::If it matters, in the case I'm speaking of, my booth/space will contain photography items. some matted prints, some framed. Some note cards, some bookmarks. This year I'll also be making some kick-arse coasters with my images. hope this helps in your answers. Thanks!!!
Well, good question. Alot actually. The site is being redesigned for our big upcoming 1 yr anniversary. Yuppers!! Soon NC Images will be 1yr old online.
We're revamping the verse print shopping area. This is huge, in the way
it was, and the way it will be. Hopefully you'll all enjoy the new
shopping experience.
I have purchased the materials to begin
making a line of bookmarks as well. They will be my photography, sealed
by lamination. They should be available with/without a tassel, &
with/without words to appeal to all. Look for them to start appearing
by fall, just in time for all your holiday shopping.
July
newsletter went out at the beginning of the month. Email me if you
didn't receive it, and feel free to visit the site and sign up for all
future issues.
That's about it for the moment. Have a wonderful weekend!!
Ok, So I'm not making unique posts here... yet. This is a copy & paste from my Greatest Journal. That is where my life is.
It’s been awhile since I’ve updated. Wow. So what’s been going on some of you may wonder. Or not.
Seems
I haven’t written much since my MS promo sale & my playin hooky. I
don’t know if I can even remember what all has happened since then.
Going
back to work after my “time off” was kind of weird. Nice to see them
again, but I sooo didn’t want to be there. It was alright tho. Business
was not too bad & I even made half decent tips. Dad told me to come
on in Wednesday (my next regular day) but to take off Thursday &
Friday. Worked for me!!! See, this is Apple Blossom time around here.
The big ass festival for Wenatchee. With the food court area opening
last Thursday, it knocks businesses down a bit. So, no need to have us
both there. Saves him money and keeps me off my feet. Ok, so I don’t
get paid either, but right now, I don’t mind. So, when I go back in
tomorrow, I’m really hoping we do that again. Work Monday, and perhaps
Wednesday… and be done. Whatever the case, I do believe I will be
dropping big signs of me leaving. I have much to do.
I’ve spent
way too many late night hours working on my insurance brochure. But…
it’s done. And printed even!! I have 250 copies of it sitting here. 100
are folded. Yea, I had to save my pennies & fold em myself this
time. If anyone knows how I can share it with you all without mailing
them, let me know.
So yea, I haven’t done a whole lot other
than the brochure. IT took a lot of my brain power to get that done,
nicely. I have been told by several people that it looks… important,
professional, clean, & easy to read. I’m glad. Means I did a good
job.
We had a nice BBQ Friday evening. I was a bit worried the
mix of folks we had might not work, but it was fine. Seems several
folks already knew each other!! How cool is that? Everyone had a
wonderful time. It felt really good having our friends, over to our
house. It has been a long time since we’ve been able to do something
like this with real friends.
/end GJ post. I haven't done much else, but I shall work on blogging here too. This whole place is taking some getting used to for sure. Funny how when you are used to doing things one way, for years, to then be shown a new place. Everything is different, yet in the big picture, the same. So bear with the not-so-blog-savvy mom here...
